We are a veteran-owned and operated company with our only office location in Wasilla, Alaska. We strive to ensure your needs are met and surpassed because if not, you wouldn’t need us. We got started when I, Jay Gerber, got tired of going into any appointments or meetings and hearing the same thing repeatedly “Fill these out and have a seat, or fill these out and bring them to the front desk when you’re finished.” I couldn’t understand there were so many regulations regarding privacy and compliance, and when it was time to check in or check out, it was just another motion.
Frustrated and stressed, half the forms didn’t apply, and the other half of the documents needed information protected under HIPAA/PII/PHI rules and regulations because it contained personal health or identifiable information but required to be completed in a crowded Lobby. After realizing the stress and frustration just followed me home because my thoughts, feelings, injuries, and other sensitive answers on the forms could have been displayed as it felt. As an active-duty member, while serving, I made sure not to let anyone see what could have been perceived as “broken.” However, I felt many feelings once I left the military, and I surely couldn’t let anyone know I had issues. That was when I started going through essential details or information for services off forms and questionnaires. If only they could be filled out at home or somewhere more private.
It was then that I realized that I was sure others would have been doing the same if I had been doing this. Withholding these crucial details or information could negatively impact the services or actions usually provided. Then I thought, how much time is wasted in the labor force? How much money is wasted on office supplies that are not needed or just trashed? Or my biggest question yet was how much time a doctor could be seeing patients instead of filling out paperwork by hand, digging around in filing cabinets, or waiting for the individual to finish writing it all out. Why not send the forms to the individual needing to fill them out and return them on their arrival or send them through secure means when finished and submitted, allowing the end receiver to have everything at the start of the encounters? Then the information is gathered, entered, and filed before the individual’s arrival, saving time, money, and resources for the business and customer and reducing stress and frustrations for all involved.
